Galapagar fue escenario del primer Campeonato de Madrid de BXM free style flat. Varo Hernández y José Lizcano son los primeros campeones de Madrid de BMX free style flat de la historia. Esta semana se inician las clases de este deporte en el municipio.
El pasado sábado tuvo lugar en el parking de la piscina municipal de Galapagar la primera edición del Campeonato de Madrid de BMX en modalidad free style flat, un evento organizado por la Federación Madrileña de Ciclismo en colaboración con el Ayuntamiento de Galapagar.
Un total de 18 riders participaron en el campeonato, encontrándose entre ellos grandes nombres del panorama nacional, como Varo Hernández, Albert Moya, Viky Gómez o Miguel Tardío, entre otros, que mostraron su increíble talento en un evento que fue sumando espectadores; informó el Ayuntamiento de Galapagar.
La cita se dividió en dos mangas, una primera manga amateur, en la que se proclamó campeón de Madrid José Lizcano, superando a William Alarcón y a Aarón Santos. En la segunda, con pilotos de categoría Pro, se vivió una prueba muy disputada en la que finalmente Varo Hernández (BMX Olímpico) se proclamó campeón de Madrid. Le secundaron en el podio Íñigo Arroyo (SC Barakaldesa) y el mencionado Alberto Moya (BMX Olímpico).
En la entrega de premios estuvieron la concejala de Seguridad Ciudadana, Deportes y Comunicación de Galapagar, Mercedes Nuño Masip, y el presidente de la Federación, José Vicioso.
La concejala, por su parte, declaraba que “desde el Ayuntamiento apoyamos a este deporte de gran interés para los jóvenes, que esperamos se animen a apuntarse a las clases que comienzan esta semana”. Desde el Ayuntamiento recuerdan que a partir de mañana comienzan las clases de este deporte en el Velódromo de Galapagar, siendo esta la primera escuela de BMX Freestyle Flat de la Comunidad de Madrid.
